Tribe — Terms of Use

Last updated: 1 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Tribe. By signing in to the app you accept them. They are written to be read — if anything here is unclear, write to us at tribeappil@gmail.com.

1. What Tribe is

Tribe is a community platform for travelers. The people using it — not Tribe — create the places, insights, prices, photos, reviews, comments, and live "signals" you see. We build the map and the tools; the content comes from the community.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) and able to enter into this agreement. You need an account, created by signing in with Google or with Apple. Keep your sign-in credentials to yourself — activity under your account is your responsibility.

3. Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users

This is the core rule of the community, and we enforce it.

You agree not to post, upload, or send:

You agree not to:

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. We act on reports within 24 hours: offending content is removed and the account responsible may be suspended or terminated, without refund of tokens or standing.

4. Moderation, reporting, and blocking

We are not obligated to pre-screen content, but we do review what is reported.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting to Tribe, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute that content inside the app and in Tribe's own promotion of the app, for as long as you keep it posted.

You confirm that you have the right to post it, and that it does not break Section 3.

Deleting your account removes your content as described in the Privacy Policy. Content already quoted, aggregated, or anonymized into community statistics (for example, a price consensus) may remain in that non-identifying form.

6. Tribits (tokens)

Tribits are an in-app score that reflects contribution to the community. They:

7. Information in the app is community information

Prices, opening hours, safety warnings, transport tips, and place details come from other travelers and from third-party sources such as Google Places. They may be wrong, outdated, or incomplete. Tribe does not verify them.

Use your own judgment, especially for anything involving safety, money, health, or travel decisions. Meeting people you found through a signal is your own decision and your own risk — take the same precautions you would take anywhere else. Tribe is not a party to anything that happens between users offline.

8. Availability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app, and we may need to take it down for maintenance. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Termination

You can stop using Tribe at any time and delete your account from the profile screen. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, or where required by law.

10. Disclaimer and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tribe is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss arising from your reliance on community content or from your interactions with other users.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Third-party services

The app uses Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, Google Maps and Google Places, Convex (backend), and Sentry (crash reporting). Their own terms apply to their parts of the experience.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes are reflected in the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, surfaced in the app. Continuing to use Tribe after a change means you accept it.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Yafo have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence says otherwise.
